About Ragonese Italian Imports
Located at 409 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208, Ragonese Italian Imports operates as a burger serving Albany in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (518) 482-2358. Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Albany is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The torpedoes and salads are amazing! They have an awesome variety of products in the store, and itβs definitely my favorite local deli. The quality is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend stopping by!

Chef's kiss. That's a tasty sub! The only thing I wished was a little better was I really wanted to try one of their cookies, but the person who took my order vanished and I couldn't find anyone to help me. So I shrugged and just took the sandwhich. I would have loved to pair with some chips but I couldn't find them. Probably just overwhelmed with the amount of goodies in this place. I honestly can't wait to come back.

Ragonese is one of those places that just gets it right every time. The sandwiches and subs are absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and packed with flavor. Their Italian dishesβespecially the lasagna and eggplant parmesanβare just as impressive and truly hit the spot. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and you definitely feel like youβre getting great value. On top of that, the staff is always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which makes the experience even better. If youβre looking for quality food and a spot you can count on, Ragonese is definitely worth checking out!

If you're looking for the best possible trays of foods from egg plant, lasagna to seseme chicken, cutlets and all things on the side, you can't find better than Ragonese on New Scotland Avenue. The tray portions are amazing as this Sesame Chicken photo demonstrates. This is a half tray! The selection of imported cheeses is also outstanding. And the folks who work there are by far the nicest people you can meet.

So, before I get into the review let me apologize for the huge few bites π out of my sub π₯ͺ. I forgot I was going to review and I'm true fat boy fashion, I started devouring it. This is a great place that brings me back to my childhood. Bread π₯ is soft, meat is top quality and the staff is always accommodating. I got the cracked turkey π¦ sub, LTO, with cheddar and bacon π₯ so almost a little club Sammie action workout the ham. I honestly forgot the ham, next time I'm gonna add that. If you want a great sub look no further than Ragonese! Tell em Vin Vin sent you, I'm tryna see something. Deuces βπ½ Vin Vin
